At Mae Moei national park in Tha Song Yang District, visitors come to enjoy the picturesque views off ‘Mon Kru Ba Sai,’ ‘Mon Pun Suda,’ and ‘Mon Kiew Lom’ – the park’s three famous cliffside viewpoints with spacious campgrounds. ‘Mon’ is a northern dialect meaning hilltop.
Facing West, Mon Kru Ba Sai and the nearby Mon Pun Suda are perfect for Sunset. Mon Kiew Lom, about 6 kilometres away from the first two facing East, is understandably coveted for sunrise. Overnight camping brings chances to see the milky ways. This is another national park that is good to visit from rainy season onwards until colder months at the end of the year.
