TAT Singapore office penetrated the golf market in Singapore by promoting golf courses in Thailand in “The Annual Golf 2023” at National Service Resort & Country Club (NSRCC) which was held on 20-21 May, 2023. Almost 500 golfers participated and honoured by the presence of Defence Attache’. Golf courses information were being distributed and a survey form about travel for golf in Thailand by TAT Singapore office as well. From 335 golfers, the results showed that 85.1% of them have ever played golf in Thailand. From the survey, 37.3% of respondent showed they have played golf 1 – 5 times, 15.5%
6 – 10 times, 32.3% more than 10 times and 14.9% never played golf in Thailand.
The top 5 golf course locations in Thailand are Bangkok, Phuket/Phang Nga, Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai, Hua-Hin/Cha-Am and Pattaya. Beside golfing, during the trip they would like to do Shopping, Spa & Massage, Sight-seeing, Business Meetings and Visits. By group size, the first rank is 2-8 people and 53.7% of golfers will come to Thailand for golf within next 6 months. Furthermore, we had a lucky draw with prizes sponsored by various golf courses in Thailand including GolfDigg which is a platform to book more than 150 courses all over Thailand at dinner party. We also received many feedbacks from Singaporean golfers by creating awareness of golf members about 7,000 people.
