Singapore, 16 May 2023 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Singapore office held a Product Updates on Educational Travel & Sustainable Tourism at Thai Royal Embassy. Presided by H.E. Mr. Chutintorn Gongsakdi, Ambassador of Thailand in Singapore. This activity is a lecture and business negotiation for travel service products for new market groups, student groups under the project “Thailand …Where the meaningful Journey begins”. with the objective of providing information and promoting Thailand as a travel destination suitable for learning tourism among students, Young Millennials.
The Product Updates presented information on promoting sustainable tourism. Sustainable Tourism focuses on environmental, social responsibility and considering global warming as well as offering travel products and services socially responsible tourism route.
Travel agencies in Singapore and Thailand who attended the lectures, consisted of a total of 39 people, divided into 32 travel agencies from Singapore and 7 travel companies that are buyers from Thailand, of which 55.6 percent of Singapore travel agencies participating in the event offer to sell travel products and services for the student market. Some are market groups for meetings and seminars
Singapore travel agencies are very impressed with this project because they are a new travel agency. Product updates activities that they would like to share are about health & wellness, overall presenting tourist attractions in Thailand and sports tourism, e.g. Diving, Cycling and Golf, respectively.
