Looking for an outdoor dating spot in Bangkok? We have got you covered with a list of 4 recommended green spaces for you to spend quality time with your loved ones in nature.
Let’s check them out: Santi Chai Prakarn Public Park, Patom Organic Living, Lumpini Park, and Suan Rod Fai.
Santi Chai Prakarn Public Park
Located along the Chao Phraya River, this small urban park is quiet and peaceful. There are many grassy areas where you can lay down, relax, or even have a picnic.
As you walk in the park, you may spot a white historic structure called the Phra Sumen Fort. It was built in the reign of King Rama I.
In front of the fort, there is a wide lawn with steps. From the late afternoon to evening, it is common for you to see kids running around from tree to tree, groups of students hanging out, or people playing guitar in this area.
Another highlight that you should not miss is the riverside terrace. It is where you can get a 180-degree view of the Chao Phraya River and watch the beautiful sunset with your lover. It also offers a magnificent view of the Rama VIII bridge.
There is a daily aerobic dance taking place at around 6 PM on the terrace. You can join them for your evening exercise at no cost too.
Opening Hours: Daily, 5AM – 9PM
Patom Organic Living
Being more than a cafe, Patom Organic Living is surrounded by greenery where couples and families can hang out and have fun doing activities after their meals.
Their cafe is a beautiful glass house decorated in a modern style, making it a good spot for instagrammable photos. Apart from letting the natural light in, it also allows diners to enjoy the green garden scenery while dining.
Here, they use raw materials from their certified organic farm and local organic farmers supported by the Sookjai Foundation to ensure quality and healthy food and drinks. They also sell organic body products such as soaps, lips, and herbal inhalers.

Located in the heart of Bangkok, Lumphini Park is one of the largest green spaces, spanning over 500,000 square meters.
Besides being home to diverse flora and fauna, Lumpini Park is also a popular gathering and exercise spot for all ages. There are many onsite facilities, including running paths, playgrounds, exercise corners, tennis courts, and basketball courts.
An activity that you should not miss here is riding duck-paddle boats. Gliding across the lake, you can enjoy the scenic view while having a romantic time with your loved one. The starting price is only 40 THB for a half an hour ride.
You can also stroll around the park or have a picnic. If you prefer fewer crowds, we recommend visiting Lumpini park before 5.30 PM on weekdays as the park will get packed with joggers who come for exercise after their work and people doing an aerobic dance.
Getting here is very convenient. You can take the MRT to Lumphini station or Silom station as both are right in front of this city park.
Opening Hours: Daily, 4.30 PM – 9 PM
Suan Rod Fai
Another one of the biggest green spaces in Bangkok is Suan Vachirabenjatas, commonly known as Suan Rod Fai. Once a golf course, it is currently a public park that is highly popular for cycling and picnicking.
There is a winding three-kilometer track for walking and biking around the park. You may rent bicycles from the rental shop with the price ranging from 20 THB to 60 THB. During the course, you can visit the butterfly garden and insectarium, showcasing flowers and butterflies.
Butterfly Garden & Insectarium
This lovely and tranquil park is well maintained with several species of flowers and plants. You may also spot squirrels, birds and monitor lizards. As the park is located quite far away from the main road, there will be lower traffic noise.
To get here, you can take either the BTS to Mo Chit Station or the MRT to Chatuchak Park station. Suan Rod Fai is only a 10-minute walk away from both stations.
Opening Hours: Daily, 5 AM – 9 PM
