Hat Yai, 1 February 2024 – Fly easy to Singapore with AirAsia! In an effort to further boost international tourist arrivals into the country, AirAsia has launched direct flights between Hat Yai and Singapore. To initially start with three times weekly on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the new route will also enable travelers from Hat Yai and the Songkhla province to fly directly and on time to Singapore.
In conjunction with the launch, AirAsia is offering the “Singapore: Fun for the Whole Family” promotion with all-inclusive one-way fares starting from only 1,490 THB. Book now until 4 February 2024 for travel from 1 February-26 October 2024.
At the Hat Yai Airport today, AirAsia jointly with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and other partners and authorities held a send-off ceremony for guests on the inaugural departing flight of FD336 from Hat Yai to Singapore, followed by a welcoming event for the arriving guests on the returning flight FD337 from Singapore.
Miss Maneenuch Thongnounlert, AirAsia Station Manager for Hat Yai Airport, pointed out that “Hat Yai-Singapore is the fourth route from this city by AirAsia, after the airline’s flights to Don Mueang, Chiang Mai and Kuala Lumpur. The addition brings AirAsia’s frequency from Hat Yai to a total 12 flights daily. The airline is working to increase both routes and frequencies from Hat Yai to help create more opportunities for economic activities, making the most of its tourism and commercial potentials and continuing growth.”
“AirAsia flights to and from Hat Yai have consistently been popular amongst travelers. Since December last year, average load factor has remained above 90 percent, especially for flights from Hat Yai to Don Mueang and Chiang Mai. The new Hat Yai-Singapore route will enable everyone to fly with greater convenience, punctuality and affordability,” Miss Maneenuch said.
At present, AirAsia flies Hat Yai direct to Don Mueang 8 times a day, Chiang Mai 2 times a day, Kuala Lumpur 1 time a day and Singapore 3 times a week.
