InterContinental Khao Yai is a luxurious and elegant resort that just opened last year. This amazing property was designed by Bill Bensley, a renowned architect and interior designer, who took inspiration from the glamourous age of train travel during the reign of King Rama V. The standalone reception building is styled like the ticketing counter of a train station and decorated with railway memorabilia. The resort offers train-themed rooms, suites and villas, some of which are created from upcycled train carriages. The ingenious refurbished railway car concept is extended to the fine dining French restaurant called Pirot, Papillon bar, Back on Track Spa and kids’ club. Set amidst lush landscapes and serene surroundings, the resort makes an ideal escape for travelers seeking a retreat in nature.
