New Shopping Malls in Bangkok

New Shopping Malls in Bangkok

Bangkok is an ever-changing metropolis with new shopping malls springing up every now and then. In this article, we would like to introduce three newest shopping malls in Bangkok – ICS, Terminal 21 Rama 3 and Silom Edge.

ICS is marketed as a Mixed-Use Lifestyle Town with a range of retail, office and hotel facilities and just had a soft opening in January this year. It is directly opposite ICON SIAM across Charoen Nakhon road and connected via a skywalk with the BTS Gold Line Charoen Nakhon station. It boasts key anchor tenants such as Thailand’s first Lotus’s Privé premium hypermart, a Lifestyle Healthcare and Wellness Center by Sriraj Hospital, and Hilton Garden Inn Bangkok ICS Charoen Nakorn. ICS also aims to be a food destination for customers with its food zone called Daily Tasty which features different cuisines from both international and local brands.

Terminal 21 Rama 3

Terminal 21 Rama 3 is a new shopping mall by the Chao Phraya River that opened in October 2022.  Like the Terminal 21 malls before it, the mall is designed with different country themes on each floor, namely Caribbean on LG floor, England on G floor, Italy on the 1st floor, France on the 2nd, Japan on the 3rd, and San Francisco from 4th to 5th floors. The interior decoration for each floor, even in the restrooms, is very well thought out and executed, and of course, highly Instagrammable. Visitors, especially families with kids, can spend a delightful time just strolling through Terminal 21, or take advantage of unique activities at Harborland, a massive indoor playground, or a fun E-gokart track at the River Square, operated by Monowheel.

Visitors can take a free shuttle service at BTS Surasak station to and from Terminal 21 Rama 3.

Silom Edge

Silom Edge is a brand new mall that has just been officially unveiled in March 2023. It is conveniently located at the corner of Silom and Rama IV and is connected to both BTS Saladaeng station and MRT Silom station. The basement and ground floors are allocated for food, the first and second floors for lifestyle fashion and technology products, the third and fourth floors for wellness and beauty services, and the ninth floor for bars. Its “Life Around the Clock” theme is made possible by a couple of 24-hr food zones, which means you could even have ice cream at Swensen’s or indulge in plates of trendy pasta at Nam Nam Pasta and Tapas after a night of partying at Silom.
