In line with Tourism Authority of Thailand’s efforts to distribute tourism from major cities and bolster revenue by promoting secondary cities as attractive tourist destinations, TAT Singapore office had most recently organized a series of marketing activities with Air Asia to launch the inaugural flight route Singapore-Chiang Mai on February 1, 2023.
Passengers of the inaugural flight were given a warm welcome by key personnels of TAT & Air Asia and were also each gifted a souvenir prepared by TAT. On top of a press conference held to address local media, specially curated routes were designed for each of the three Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) from Singapore to experience ‘The Rose of the North – Chiang Mai’ and share on their platforms.
With the addition of four flights a week (every Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday), this new route from “Chiang Mai-Singapore” will increase both accessibility and flight options for Singaporeans travelling to Chiang Mai.
