On December 27, 2023 at 16.30 hrs., the Tourist Police Bureau of the Royal Thai Police organized the Police Deployment Ceremony to Ensure Safety during the New Year Festival 2024, chaired by Miss Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Tourism and Sports, accompanied by Police General Surachet Hakparn, Deputy Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police and high-ranking officers from the Royal Thai Police, at Central World’s Square A, Bangkok, to demonstrate the readiness of tourist police and all relevant departments in carrying out their duties to take care of tourists and the public during the New Year festival.
In addition, the Tourist Police Bureau, led by the Commissioner, Pol.Lt.Gen.Saksira Pheuak-Um, presents New Year gifts to the public through the “Strong Tourism Community” project and the “We Smile for Your Smile” project. They also collaborate with the Command and Control Operation Centre (CCOC) of the Royal Thai Police and coordinate with foreign agencies and embassies to ensure the safety of all tourists.
The Commissioner further stated that Tourist Police are highly prepared to work for the well-being of the public and tourists, following the principles of SSR: Smart – Good personality, Smile – Service-minded, and Reliable – Building trust, under the vision “Being the organization responsible for tourists’ safety and creating trust as well as a positive image for the benefit of the country’s tourism industry”
